Making Sugar Cookies

I own the intellectual copyright for the written tutorial.  What you make is yours, but please do not take my tutorial.  Share only my link.
This tutorial is intended for a beginner to learn how to load layer styles and use them in Photoshop.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
To do this tutorial you will also need Photoshop CS3 - CS5.  You may download a free trial at Adobe.
Remember to save as a .psd file often!
1.  Download the Sugar Cookie Layer style.  Unzip the contents into a folder of your choice.
Note:  the Layer style was created in CS5.  I'm not sure if it will work in earlier versions.
2.  Open up Photoshop, and a new, transparent image, size 800 x 800 pixels.
3.  Edit > Preset Manager
4.  Set the Preset Type to Patterns.  Then click on the Load button.  Load the sugar cookie pattern (PAT) file.
5.  Set the Preset Type to Styles.  Then click the Load button.  Load the layer style (ASL) file.  Close the Preset Manager
6.  Choose the Custom Shape tool.  Set the shape to a shape of your choice.  (Note:  a layer style will work on any layer, so we could have used selections as well.)
7.  It does not matter what color you choose.  The style will overwrite it.  Draw out your cookie shape.
8.  Now it's time to use the Layer Style, but you must be able to access your styles.
Window > Styles   (be sure it is checked)
9.  The style window looks like this.  Find the Sugar Cookie Style  (It's probably one of the last ones you loaded).  If you hover your mouse over the style, you will see the name of it.  Click on the Sugar Cookie Style.
10.  And here's our sugar cookie!
11.  Icing the cooking is optional, but let's add some frosting!  Right-click on the layer and choose Rasterize Layer
12.  With the magic wand, click on the transparent part outside of the cookie edge.
13.  Selection > Inverse.   Selection > Contract Selection by 30 pixels
14.  Layer > New > Layer
15.  Choose the paintbrush tool.  Choose a soft brush tip, size = 116 or about, flow = 64%
16.  Paint the cookie.  It's ok to leave some gaps.
17.  Now apply the frosting layer style.
18.  Now your cookie is ready to eat!  -- um, save!  File > Save As   PNG or GIF
